Join HMS staff and fellow students at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, February 25th, from 4 - 7 pm. Skip the cooking, "Eat Mor Chikin," and help raise funds for the PTO! Spin the Chick-fil-A prize wheel for $1 and you could win a free Chick-fil-A item.

Drive-thru, dine in, or carry out. Mention you are there for Spirit Night, and HMS will get 20% of the associated sales!

Graduation Signs Coming in April

A heartfelt Thank You! to all those who have volunteered to deliver yard signs as we approach celebrating our 8th graders. We will be delivering them in the April timeframe. If for any reason you would not like a yard sign, please email molly_painter@yahoo.com, prior to April 1st.

CSCI Survey

The D181 2025-26 CSCI climate survey will open on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Families will receive a link to complete the survey via email on Tuesday, February 17. Staff will complete the survey during a staff meeting, and students in grades 4-8 will complete the survey during the school day.

This annual survey is not only a requirement for all school districts in the state but also an opportunity to share how we're performing as a school district with audiences near and far.

Participation from parents, teachers, and students is crucial to ensure we compile a valuable snapshot of D181's school climate. All survey results are anonymous, as responses are reported directly to the National School Climate Center before being made available to the District and public.

Tutoring Opportunity

The PTO would like to extend our appreciation to Prep Academy Tutors for their donation of 3 tutoring sessions to our school community.

They have provided sessions valued at $240 each. As a courtesy, the PTO is facilitating access by offering these sessions for a reduced rate of $150. The first person to email us will receive the tutoring sessions. vpfunding@hmspto.org
