Shop For Your Favorite Gift Cards! Scrips Fundraising Event!

This year HMS is offering parents, staff, and friends the opportunity to support HMS by buying gift cards through the Scrip gift card program. A percentage of each gift card purchased will be donated to the HMS PTO to help fund events and activities that enhance and enrich the experience of our students. You don’t need to spend money buying anything you don’t need to support the school; just buy these gift cards and use them to pay for items you would regularly purchase. Everything from gas, grocery to your favorite store Gift Cards.

Please return your order form with a check made out to HMS PTO for the amount owed to the main HMS office by noon on December 10th. Gifts cards will be distributed to students during home-base on December 16th and 17th.

Share the Spirit Holiday Gift Drive for People’s Resource Center – Nov 13th – Dec 4th

We are in need of toys! Please donate a new unwrapped toy to a child in need! Donated toys will benefit children through People’s Resource Center Share the Spirit Holiday Gift Drive. Students may drop the gift into the donation box located in the vestibule at the front door entry. Toys, along with items for older children, such as tween/teen novels, basketballs, soccer balls, etc., are appreciated.

 

District Climate Survey

District 181’s 2019-20 climate survey will be open to D181 parents, staff and students starting Monday, Dec. 2, 2019. You will receive the link to complete the parent survey by email on Dec. 2. For more info and our FAQ, visit www.d181.org/csci.

 

 

 

Parent Teacher Conference Dinner Sign up

A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered- there was tremendous participation but there are still some slots available!

The PTO provides dinner for the teachers and staff during the evening of parent-teacher conferences. Please sign up for anything that you would like to provide for the dinner. There will be a cart between the outer and inner doors at the main entrance on East 3rd St. for you to place your items. Please have all of your items to the school by noon Monday, November 25th. Thank you so much for your help in making this a memorable evening for our teachers and staff. If you would like to donate items but will not be around on Monday please contact the staff appreciation committee at staffapp@hmspto.org to arrange another dropoff time and location. Thanks in advance for your help!

Beginning a Successful Transition to Hinsdale Central

Calling all 8th Grade Parents!

Hinsdale Central High School will be hosting an informational session for parents of students considering attendance at Hinsdale Central as freshmen in the 2020-2021 school year. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, November 19th at 7:00 PM in the Hinsdale Central Auditorium.

Principal Bill Walsh, Director of Guidance Jennifer Regnier, and Assistant Principal Jessica Hurt will discuss placement and registration timelines, and share best practices for a successful transition.
