HMS Activities Fair – This Thursday, September 19th

Hinsdale Middle School will host its annual Activities Fair on Thursday, September 19th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. At this event, all of the different clubs and activities will make themselves available to recruit members and share information.

We encourage all students to get involved, and hope to see you there! Please contact Mr. May with any questions.

 

HMS Directory Verification and Access to AtoZ Directory Online

Next Monday, September 16, is the last day to verify your household information. The HMS Directory will be printed with the information in the account. If you opted out of having your household information available, it will neither be printed nor available online.

HMS PTO Membership dues provide online access to AtoZ Directory. For families who are not members of HMS PTO, you will not be able to access the directory on September 27, 2019.  To register for the PTO, please access hmspto.org

HMS Directory – Parent Verification Needed

Every HMS family should have received an email from Hinsdale Middle School PTO – Directory on September 5th asking for verification of information. If you did not receive it, please check your Junk Folder first. When you open the email, please take a moment and verify your family information (even if you have already verified your information for an elementary school directory).
We would like to deliver directories by early October, but cannot publish the directory until all families have verified their information. If you would like to “opt out” of having your family information in the directory or online or if you have questions, please contact Ân Groom at directory@hmspto.org 

Please use the email that you registered with the district when verifying your information.

 

Thank You Students, Staff And Parents Who Helped With Car Wash Fundraiser!

Thank you to all who volunteered at the Student Council/SELAS Committee sponsored car wash fundraiser during the final week of school. We raised nearly $1,000 for local charities, Willowbrook Corner Program at The Community House and Erika’s Lighthouse, which provides depression awareness education to HMS students. Our students were featured in the Community Spotlight section of Erika’s Lighthouse e-newsletter.

Many thanks to everyone who came and got a car wash as well!

 

HMS Picture Day – THIS Wednesday, August 28th

This Wednesday, August 28th, is HMS Picture Day. All students will be photographed, orders are optional. Order forms are available in the office or click the link below to access the Picture Order Form.

This year our photographers, now HR Imaging Partners with Premier Studios, has made an online ordering option available! To order pictures, go Here. There is an option to prepay before picture day (yellow icon = prepay for portraits before picture day) or if you wait until about five days after picture day, images will be viewable (green circle = order portraits after picture day). You will need to enter your child’s student ID number to view proofs.

An order form is NOT necessary to take a picture on Picture Day. No proofs are sent home for school pictures. When you place an order, you will receive the packet ordered. If you are unhappy with a result or if a student misses picture day, your child may retake/makeup the picture on October 10th.

Shortly after Picture Day, new student IDs will be distributed to students with all information updated. Until then, if your student is a bus rider, bus drivers are not checking IDs when students board.
