Who offers it? The PTOs of Hinsdale Central High School feeder schools and the Community House have partnered together to continue the tradition this year and it is open to all eighth-graders.

Don’t Miss Out! Book Fair Ends Monday

It is book fair time! A majority of the annual library budget comes from the typically very successful book fair. We usually use the funds for this to keep our collection new and exciting for the students!

The Hinsdale Middle School library lost almost $2,000 of books that were never returned after the end of last school year. We have been trying but unable to get these returned. Many of these titles are new and popular options that students are trying to reserve this year.

This year the book fair will be running from now through December 13. The Fair is from the lovely local business, Anderson’s Bookstore, and is fully online. Books can be delivered to homes, for a delivery fee. Or shipped to the school and we will distribute! There are links to recommended reading lists as well!

Thank you so much for your support! Have a safe and happy holiday!

Help HMS Families in Need this Holiday!

The HMS Student Services Department (the Social Workers) is hoping to spread some holiday joy in these uncertain times by providing gift cards to HMS families in need. We are reaching out to the PTO to ask for your support to donate $50 gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, or Target.

Thank you to everyone who has already signed-up and dropped off gift cards.  We still are in need of some additional $50 cards to help support some HMS families in need this holiday. Please click the SignUpGenius link to volunteer to purchase a $50 gift card. Cards need to be dropped off at 917 S. Thurlow St (to Kristin McDaniel) by 12/15 in order to get them distributed to the families before Winter Break. Please put in a sealed envelope in the bin on the porch.
