Be in the Know: Join Central’s PTO Today!
“It’s a great day to be a Red Devil!” This is the message heard by our students each morning at Hinsdale Central…and we think it’s a great time to be a Red Devil parent, too! Become a part of the excitement through membership in the Hinsdale Central PTO!

PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) membership is critical to ensuring excellence throughout our kids’ high school experience by funding and supporting events and programs focusing on student, faculty and family success.
The PTO serves as a BRIDGE for the school and home environment, enhances school spirit and pride, and promotes a sense of collaboration between the many components and layers of the school-home community.
We plan an enriching Community Speaker Series; and provide resources to Red Devil families educationally, socially and financially. We also actively support Hinsdale Central Staff throughout the year through appreciation events and recognition awards.
Equally important, the PTO is all about information access. We have the PTO Newsletter, Website, social media accounts and the very valuable Parent Directory. Only paid PTO Members have access to the Parent/Student Directory.

“Be in the Know!” Join the Hinsdale Central PTO today! Click HERE to join and learn how you can be a part of the excitement! Join now until the end of the school year and get a discounted membership.
Take your involvement to another level by becoming a PTO volunteer! Join our dynamic and supportive team. We are looking to fill the Vice President and Communications position (Executive Board). Contact president@hcpto.org if interested. Post Prom Committee, Coat Check, and the College Planning Workshop need volunteers. Detailed descriptions and emails can be found HERE.

Kind Regards,

Last Chance to Check Lost & Found!

The lost and found located near the gym hallway is overflowing with lots of water bottles, lunch boxes, and clothes. Students pass by this area every day, and items are still not being claimed. Come in this week to see if any of these items belong to your child before items are donated at the end of the school year!

Village of Hinsdale Fourth of July Parade

The Village of Hinsdale is planning for the annual July 4th parade, and welcomes your participation in the parade or as a sponsor. This year’s parade is especially significant, as the Village is celebrating its Sesquicentennial – 150th Anniversary in 2023.

As your organization or business has been an important part of the fabric of our community, we hope you will join us in celebrating both the history of the Village and your involvement in Hinsdale’s success. Parade participants are asked to consider floats, music or other similar pageantry for this year’s event. If you have any questions regarding the 150th celebration or would like to talk further about your participation, please contact Assistant Village Manager, Andrianna Peterson at apeterson@villageofhinsdale.org.

The parade entry form and information can be found HERE.

Thank You From Our Sister School

Thank you so much for these items donated for Komareck School. Dr. Jeffrey Alstadt delivered them last week and the principal was so grateful. Their K-8 students will appreciate earning these as rewards!! Look for more opportunities to support this sister school initiative in the coming year.

Cyber Safety Parent Presentation Recording

HMS offered parents a cyber safety webinar this past month, with Guest Speaker, Liz Repking, from Cyber Safety Consulting. The webinar covered lots of topics for keeping your kids safe on line, anywhere from social apps to gaming, and how to speak to your children and educate them to stay safe on line. If you missed the presentation HERE is the recording. This recording is only available until June 15.
