Cross Country will take place this year at HMS!! A Cross Country informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 25th at 3:25 in the Gymnasium, with practice beginning on Thursday, August 26th. Cross Country is open for all sixth, seventh, and eighth-graders. Cross Country is the only sport offered to our sixth graders. The Cross Country season runs from August 25-September 25. Please note: A sports physical must be on file with the school nurse in order to participate. Contact coaches Dan Powers (dpowers@d181.org) or Tim Klayum (tklayum@d181.org) with questions. It’s hard to believe summer is almost over! We are looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Day at HMS tomorrow. Sixth Grade is from 9-11 a.m. and 7th and 8th from 12-2 p.m. Here are some pointers to help make the day run more smoothly.
Parking is available in the following areas:
• In front of the school (north entrance enter off of Washington St.)
• Street Parking on Washington St.
• Village Lot (enter off of Garfield St.)
After parking, everyone walking should enter the building through the main front doors (north entrance enter off Washington Street.)
Schedules Available On-Line Starting Monday Morning
Student schedules will be available tomorrow morning by logging into Skyward. Schedules and locker assignments will also be available for distribution at BTSD tomorrow.
Visit Stations with the Shortest Lines
There are many things you can do at HMS tomorrow from picking up schedules and bus information, buying spirit wear or signing up for the PTO and volunteering for committees. You are free to do these things in any order. Go to the shortest line or walk your schedule and visit your locker then go back to complete these tasks. Remember to bring sports physicals and medications to give to the school nurse.
HMS Visiting Hours
Students and parents may return next week to find their lockers and walk their schedules. Following are the specific times when the office and building will be accessible:
Wednesday, 8/18: 2:30 – 4:30 PM; Thursday, 8/19 & Friday, 8/20: 3 – 7 PM
