2024 - 2025 HMS PTO Membership and Annual Appeal

 

 

HMS Families,

 

The HMS PTO budget is entirely funded by the generous donations from our Spartan families and sponsors. This is the primary fundraiser that occurs during the school year to enhance and enrich your child’s learning at HMS.

 

Some examples of how the PTO has supported HMS with your donations include:

 

1. Funding the resurfacing, furnishing, and landscaping of the rooftop garden, creating a new outdoor learning space for students and staff

 

2. Funding school-wide speakers like our recent Unity Day assembly with Matt & Phil

 

3. Providing entertainment at student SELAS (Social Emotional Learning for Academic Success) events including DJs, photo booths, and games

 

4. Producing community events including our annual musical, WWII Museum, and book fair

 

5. Providing monthly staff appreciation events to treat our hard working teachers and administrators

 

6. Purchasing classroom supplies including rolling stands for green room equipment, additional Chromebook chargers, accessories for the library Cricut machine, books and more

 

Our 2024-25 fundraising goal is $35,000. With just over 750 HMS students, if we receive a $50 donation for each student, we will meet our goal!

 

There are two ways to make your donation: (1) Zelle to treasurer@hmspto.org, Note: “Support Your Spartan!”; (2) Send or drop off a check payable to HMS PTO at Hinsdale Middle School - 100 South Garfield, Hinsdale, IL 60521. The HMS PTO is a 501c3, and you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your contribution. If you wish to donate, please do so by December 3, 2024 (Giving Tuesday).

 

Sponsorship Levels:

$50 - Friend of HMS

$100 - Bronze Level

$250 - Silver Level

$500 - Gold Level

$1000 - Platinum Level

 

All donors will be entered into a weekly raffle and acknowledged on our social media sites. If you wish to remain anonymous, please send an email to vpfundraising@hmspto.org

In addition to our Annual Appeal, we will host a small number of events where a generous portion of the sales proceeds will be donated back to the PTO, so please be on the lookout for invitations to the following events:

  • September 12, 7 - 9pm HMS Parent First Annual Meet and Greet at the Community House
  • October 3, 6-8pm - Meredith Jaye Give Back Fundraiser
  • October 24 - Brasi's Pizzeria - Mention HMS and they will donate 20% of proceeds to the PTO
  • November 12 - Altamura Pizza Give Back Event
  • December 17 - Fuller House Dining Give Back Event (4pm - 9pm)
  • January 15 - Chipotle Oakbrook Give Back Event (5pm -9pm)
  • January 26, 6 - 8pm - Lilly Pullitzer Give Back in Oakbrook
  • February 4 - Cafe La Fortuna Hinsdale Give Back Coffee Event
  • March 6 - Vintage Charm Hinsdale Give Back Shopping Event (5-7pm)
