Parent-Teacher Conferences

Starting this Monday, October 25 at 8AM, you will be able to schedule your student(s)’ Parent-Teacher individual/mini-conference(s) through Skyward Family Access. Mini-conferences are times for you to check in with your child’s individual teachers for about five to eight minutes apiece. These mini-conferences will be held VIRTUALLY on Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23. Sign-up for mini-conferences will close Wednesday, November 3. Due to availability, we ask that you sign up for no more than two (2) conferences on these days to allow spaces for other families to sign up as well. If we can open it up later to help teachers fill empty appointments, we will most certainly do so!

Parent-Teacher mini-conferences are an important opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress, share your child’s strengths and needs, and work with teachers to help your child do well in school.

Please Note:

  1. Unlike in our elementary schools, these mini-conferences are elective. Parents of students who are doing well may choose not to meet with any teachers, which is not uncommon.

  2. You will sign up on Skyward for a session and then, at a later date, a Zoom/GoogleMeet link will be provided per teacher. You can use that time to converse with your child(ren)’s teacher.

  3. Team conferences will only be scheduled by grade level teams when they feel it is necessary. Most of these have already been scheduled.

  4. If a team conference is requested for your child, you should NOT sign up for mini-conferences.

  5. 8th Grade teachers do not have information to share regarding your 8th grade child’s potential high school placement. Please understand and plan accordingly.

Directions:

  • Login to your Skyward Family Access: Skyward Family Access

  • Forgot how to log in? How to Log In to Skyward

  • Click on the Conferences tab

  • Select All Conferences to view what is available for your student

  • Click on “Select a Time”

  • The list of time slots that are open will appear. Click the Select button to reserve a spot. A confirmation will appear with the conference details. To confirm, click Save or else, click Back to select a different one. A confirmation email will be sent.

  • To view conferences you have manually scheduled or an instructor has scheduled, click on View Scheduled Times.
