The grand opening of the NEW HMS is just around the corner!! We are looking forward to moving into the new building on January 7th! Doors will open to welcome students at 8:25 am, but we encourage students AND parents to come a bit early that day for some pre-opening celebration! Please feel free to park a couple of blocks away and walk your students to the front of the school. Cafe La Fortuna will be providing coffee for parents, and donuts and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. There will be music and plenty of photo opportunities outside to mark the historic event! And promptly at 8:25 am, we encourage parents to join the HMS Staff and Student Council as we “CLAP IN” our students into the new HMS! It’s a historic moment, and we hope you’ll join us to mark the occasion!
Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the official Ribbon Cutting and Open House ceremony on Thursday, January 17th! There will be a brief program in the new HMS gymnasium at 6:30 pm, then tours of the building from 7:00-8:00 pm. ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME! We hope you’ll join us for both historic events!!
