At HMS, we offer both Team Conferences and Individual Teacher Conferences, both of which we are scheduling this year. Team Conferences are scheduled when a team of teachers determines they wish to meet with a student’s parents, and you will be individually contacted if one has been requested.
Individual Conferences are offered to those parents who would like a face-to-face meeting with individual teachers. In order to see as many parents as possible, all of our teachers will make themselves available for conferences with parents. In order to maximize our time and help our teachers best prepare for which students they are discussing, we are using Sign Up Genius. Please do not schedule yourself for back-to-back conferences to allow for travel, and please do not sign up for more than two teachers at this time. After you have decided which teachers you would like to conference with you can use the link below to click on the names of the teachers you wish to see. During the actual conference times, we will also have a system to indicate that a spot is unfilled, but we cannot guarantee availability. Last year, we found this system to be very effective, and both parents and teachers seemed to like the arrangement.
On Thursday, November 16th, we will send a reminder, as well as encourage parents to sign up for unfilled time slots. As always, if this format does not best meet your needs, we encourage parent teacher communication outside of this time window. Our teachers make every effort to be accessible to address questions via email or phone throughout the entire school year, and always strive to best meet your needs. Communication among our learning partners remains a high priority and is greatly valued at HMS and within D181, and is not limited to the two days of conferences in November. We look forward to working with you throughout this entire school year, and hope that this format meets your needs!

12:00 – 2:00 PM – Teacher scheduled conferences (Parents will be contacted)
